Abel Ferrara reads poetry by Gabriele Tinti in front of the Veiled Christ – Facebook premiere

On Tuesday 18 May, at 12.00 noon, the video performance Laments | Abel Ferrara reads the verses of Gabriele Tinti in front of the Veiled Christ will be presented for the first time online on the Sansevero Chapel Museum’s Facebook channel.

The video will remain visible on Facebook and the Museum’s other social media profiles.

On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the death of Raimondo di Sangro, the poems of Gabriele Tinti, and famous director/actor Abel Ferrara, have chosen to honour Giuseppe Sanmartino’s masterpiece, which was commissioned by the Prince himself. The reading will be broadcast online on 18 May – International Museum Day. Inspired by the Veiled Christ, the poet’s verses will pay tribute to both the Neapolitan baroque chapel’s most famous statue and the Prince of Sansevero.
