The Chapel and the Veiled Christ
The statues

The sculptures and the artistic project
To give life to his artistic project, Raimondo di Sangro, Prince of Sansevero, commissioned some of the finest artists of his day to create sculptures of exceptional importance, among which the series of ten Virtues is of particular note. Each Virtue represents a stage along an arduous initiatory pathway towards knowledge and inner perfection.
